About us

Our Canterbury clinic was established in 1998. Andrew Buckley took over as owner, having managed the clinic for several years in 2006. Since then the clinic has been re-branded as TEAM BUCKLEY and has extended its scope. It is now a multi-disciplinary clinic providing Osteopathy, Physiotherapy and , Sports Therapy and Massage Therapy.

Our Aim is to address reoccurring problems by indentifying the potential causes of the problem and not just the symptoms and provide optimal rehabilitation and self help stategies.

All of our therapists are registered with the relevant regulatory bodies for their profession(s).

Andrew BuckleyAndrew Buckley is the owner of Team Buckley and has a wealth of experience in the treatment and prevention of Musculoskeletal injuries, having a special interest in Back and neck pain, sports rehabilitation in particular pre/post surgical Knee and ankle injuries and has worked with a variety of professional and amateur athletes/teams and events.

Andrew takes great pleasure in not only treating sports clients, but also helping elderly patients who suffer from chronic joint and arthritic problems.

Matt Stanford

Matthew StanfordMatt studied with Andrew Buckley at the London School of Osteopathy. After gaining his degree he started his own Osteopathic practice in Tunbridge Wells. He now also works in Canterbury for Team Buckley. Matt has a special interest in arthritic conditions, joint problems and chronic pain management but treats patients of all ages with a variety of complaints. He is also a keen sports person and attends a gym regularly.
Judy Kneale

Judy initially worked in London as a publicist working for the video side of Warner Brothers and Sky Television. She then set up with a partner a successful PR company specialising in film, video, television, theatre and personal representation. A keen gymnast and korfball player, Judy suffered from several sports injuries and, while undergoing rehabilitation for a long-term back injury, became very interested in massage and complementary therapies. Ten years after setting up her company she went back to college to train as a sports and remedial massage therapist.

Judy initially worked in London as a publicist and set up, with a partner, a successful PR company specialising in film, video, television, theatre and personal representation. A keen gymnast and korfball player, Judy suffered from several sports injuries and, while undergoing rehabilitation for a long-term back injury, became very interested in massage and complementary therapies. Ten years after setting up her company she went back to college and changed career.

Judy is qualified in sports and remedial and therapeutic massage and is also a qualified gym instructor. She uses this knowledge to provide rehabilitation exercise advice as well as pilates-based exercises for low back, shoulder and neck pain sufferers. She has a great interest in posture and general well-being in the workplace and provides advice on a regular basis; she recently presented a seminar at a conference in Berlin.

Judy has worked at several events providing pre and post event massage, including the world renowned Iron Man competition in Hawaii, the Samoan Rugby Team on their England visit in 2010, National beach ball championships and various 'Races for Life' for Cancer Research.

Judy has worked with Andrew Buckley since 2002.

Sarah Vine

Sarah Vine

Sarah is a Sports Therapist, offering sports massage, injury guidance and exercise prescription and advice. Qualified as a Level 3 personal trainer and gym instructor and having worked closely with Andrew Buckley at the clinic since 2006, Sarah's experience allows her to provide you with a well-rounded approach to treatment, aiming to help you both immediately and in the long term.

Sarah uses her sport-specific knowledge to individually tailor your treatment, training advice and corrective exercise to your training needs and environment.

Alexander Pouros
Osteopath BSc (Hons)

Alex began working at Team Buckley in October 2008 as a sports therapist and now works as an Osteopath after qualifying with a BSc (Hons.) in Osteopathy in June 2009. Previous to this, Alex has worked as a sports therapist, fitness instructor and personal trainer for over 8 years, specialising in core stability, nutrition advice and weight management.

Since qualifying as an Osteopath Alex has completed a course in acupuncture and now uses this in conjunction with traditional Osteopathic techniques in order to further enhance the treatments he provides.

Alex treats a wide variety of conditions and believes that any treatment given should be professional and honest, as well as aiming to return you to fitness as soon as possible. The ideals and principles used at the Team Buckley clinic allow him to better fulfill these aims.

Jamie Crosswell
Chartered Physiotherapist

Jamie first completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Conditioning, Coaching and Rehabilitation at the University of West England in 2005. After returning to Kent Jamie started working in the NHS rehabilitating patients suffering from lung disease, while working with various local football teams and as a gym instructor and personal trainer.

In 2007 Jamie started an MSc in Physiotherapy while also working for Margate football club and then Gillingham football club. After completing his MSc, Jamie returned to work in the NHS this time rehabilitating cardiac patients. Jamie continues to work within sports currently working as the Physiotherapist at Canterbury Rugby Club.

Jamie joined Team Buckley in April 2010 and is also trained in acupuncture.

The titles: Osteopath, Physiotherapist, and Dietitian are protected by law and it is an offence for anyone to use these titles dishonestly. All of our therapists are registered with the Health Professions Council (Physiotherapist, and Dietitian) or the General Osteopathic Council (Osteopath). Our Sports Therapists are registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
